There were strong deliberations of it in the pertinent industry and at last, Opera Software, globally renowned Norwegian corporation, has released second beta (codenamed Peregrine) of its upcoming Opera 10 browser.This second beta, it should be noted, brings the international community of internet users one step closer to Opera 10 release candidate. One of the features of Opera 10 Beta 2 is 6.7MB Installer and it is available for download from Downloads menu for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, UNIX and other platforms. It should be kept in mind that the first beta of Opera 10 was released on June 3.
However, it must be stated, that the second beta of Opera 10 is without any major new features and it is, basically, a more refined and visually tweaked version. There has been the addition of new 'Synchronize Opera' button below the Dials on the Dial page and besides this the browser carries new icons, and tab bar color to integrate well with browser skin. Nevertheless Error pages, About page, Config page, etc. have been changed.
But there have been some striking developments as well. Though the reason is not known yet, Opera Unite feature has been taken away from this beta although it was present in the earlier version or in the first beta build strongly. What’s more, naturally, loads of fixes and improvements have been added to make this build snazzier or flashily stylish for usage.
On checking Opera 10 Beta 2 with Acid 3 tests, the final score of 100/100 wasn't surprising in view of the fact that the new Presto rendering engine is powerful enough to pass this test.
